Publication details

1 What is this?

After publishing a Content Object, you can edit the publication details.

You can edit:

• Who can view these publication(s)? : the users or groups you have published the CO to
• Publication period: the timing that was set for the publication  
• Visibility: whether the CO is visible to the course users
• Share with course managers: if you share, they will be able to edit the publication

• Send email: to send an email to the selected users to announce apublication was madeShow in coursetab links:

2 Steps / elements

• Click the yellow arrow (edit publication details) next to the Content Object that you want to edit.

2.1 Publish to specific users

• Next to  Who can view these publication(s)?  tick off Select users / groups who may view this publication  a

• select Course users in the drop down menu Select element type

• In the left window, click the users you want to select (hold CTRL to select multiple users)
• Click the arrow to move these users to the right window
• The publication will only be visible to these Users

2.2 Publication period

This can come in handy for Content Objects that outdate e.g. Announcements

• Tick off Publication period limited
• Select a starting date.  The CO will become visible on this date.
• Select an ending date.  The CO will become invisible after this date.

Click Update to confirm the changes.
